The Girl in Paris

I think some of the best writing--venting is done when you're in an uncomfortable situation and or mood and when you let someone in, a complete stranger, without holding back. Most of my posts have been comical at most and have shown a certain side. Below is something I put together when I wasn't feeling like the jovial-sarcastic-girl I usually tend to be, because at that moment, I wasn't. One of the weird things about a picture is that it can make time stand still, looking at a sketch, a polaroid, a Facebook photo, you're directly taken back to that exact moment, you remember your surroundings, you remember what you were wearing, eating, drinking, who you were with. What I haven't realized until now is that you also morph into that person again, you have their feelings, you take on that mold. "The girl in paris", the sketch I had drawn 4 years ago, is starring at me dead in the eye. As Im searching for clarity on anything Im dealing with, i find mysel...

NYC Me

I feel it only fitting to dedicate this blog to my now 2 month residency within the great city of NY. If you know me, or had the advantage of looking at my "What i want to do with my life" creation, that was manufactured/established in the 8th grade of good old little villa, you will know that moving/building my career in NYC has been something on my list since I was a little girl. I remember looking at the magazines of the size -0 girls, with legs for days, in their mini skirts, tucked in buttoned up white shirt with embellished collar, hair perfectly tucked, with the perfect blazer and nude platforms, heading into the office, completely put together and ready to take on the world. I remember wanting to be her. The thing about those girls in the magazines is that they can't talk, and forget to leave out the reality of that perfect photoshopped scene they are publishing to girls everywhere and that it takes a little more sweat, tears, flats, and possible tequila here and...

Date Me Not

It has been said that some of the greatest ideas/inventions were thought about while tossing and turning in bed, late at night. This seems accurate, in the sense that I feel like my most honest blogs are right before I decide to call it a night, which if there is a time stamp on this entry, you will notice i am calling it quits early on a saturday due to playing 2 rounds of kings, and losing multiple card games the night before, but anyways the thought on my craziness of a brain i have in that skull of mine surrounds around molding. Weird wording choice and or statement i know, but please read on to understand my reasoning. I have always been taught/shown while growing up what the value of being independent is. The importance of not losing yourself while in social situations, dating, friendships, work, etc. I've been lucky enough to have a mother and father who are still together, and have been since high school and truly experienced how to make an honest relationship last. Now i k...
SHES BACK! As i was talking with one of my friends last night, while getting attacked by mosquitos/enjoying what is left of the summer, he mentioned that he read my blog, honestly and i apologize, i forgot about this little gem. After our conversation I decided to bring back the wonderful insights of abbycashton. Along with the reintroduction of the documented verbiage for your pleasure, i would like to rant/vent on an issue that I feel many people my age can relate to, i would like to call it the "Confusing, overbearing, stressful, chaotic, what the hell am i doing 25's" To clarify, i am referring to my ripe age of 25 and the nonsense that comes with this age. In highschool you were told what to do, when to eat, you had a flow of friends you would hang out with on the weekends, you have your relationships that you pretend are mature and serious even though they are the furthest from, but at least you have some form of stability, dinners are cooked, uniforms are worn, its...

Short and Sweet

Good Evening, tonight(today for all you US'er's) my blog will be short, sweet and to the point because this complaint is one that is seriously boggling my mind as to why anyone should even be able to get to the point and complain about it. These people who created the software students around the world use are coined as geniuses, prodigies, or nerds, but whatever the case we still give them credit for being freaking smart. Now can you tell me if these software developers are sooooo incredibly smart then why the heckk in the world did they put CLOSE on top of SAVE. Do you want to know how many freaking times(most recent: 5 minutes ago) I have went to SAVE my work and accidentally skimmed over too fast and hit CLOSE. Do not put those two next to each other, they should have their own drop down menus because these two tiny commands can make or break you, and oh my gosh im sick of getting BROKE. Get serious software developers, get serious.

Bed Bugging Me Out!

Hola all, so i would like to express feelings on a very controversial/politically driven gross me out, who/ where the hell was it developed issue. Why in the gods name of everything green is it a rule that couples whether married or not have to share and sleep in the same bed. I for one have been brought up where I was given my own bed with my own pillow and developed a comfort zone in my own space. I mean i even think bunk beds are pushing it, knowing that if on the bottom bunk there is someone moving around who who is being held up by a pillar of wood who at any moment could drop onto me is heart palpitation material. But besides that I feel that a lot of relationships would last a lot longer if they were not forced to reside in the same bed as their partner. Everybody has different sleeping habits, some weirder than others but hey I cant mock the uncontrollable, lets put names to the sleeper categories: Grinding the teether, Feet dangling over the edgeer,I have to take up the whole ...

Sentimental Suzie

Ciao All, the Italian welcoming was brought to you by my lovely Italian email i received after i had to cancel my trip to Florence because of certain circumstances known as my education that got in the way, unreal I know. Anyways my little brother just left after visiting/partying in London and amsterdam. A thing i realized is how important this week was for me and him, Im at the ripe age of 23, him being 20, and literally in 3 years when he graduates I’ll be 26 which is 4 years from 30 and 14 from 40, oh my gah that line didn't hit me until i had to rewrite it 3 times as I am not the best at math, but on a smarter/intellectual note, the times that i got to share with him in another country wont come along often and meant a lot. We only have each other and being able to experience this with him was something i would never take for granted(besides the actual movement i am now able to have in my room, not hitting my head on the side wall and having a dry towel), i would not change on...
